This library contains a wide range of guidance for myplace centres - and anyone setting up or running a large space for young people. The categories below will take you to our 200 different guidance notes, toolkits and information prepared for myplace centres and originally sent to each centre as CD.

Continuous Improvement |
| All the guidance in this library has come out of the myplace programme. As projects have developed over the last two years the myplace support team has gathered evidence and examples of good practice and responded to requests for help and advice. So, the guidance has been developed and revised by members of the myplace support team with extensive input from experts in construction, the youth work field and in particular activities. But the terms "myplace centre" or project and "youth centre" should be read as being interchangeable. However, readers not familiar with the myplace programme should note that most myplace centres are large buildings with a variety of facilities. |
Some of the resources in this library will quickly become at least partially out of date, as policies change and web links become outdated. Just as importantly experience from myplace projects will grow as more centres open and become fully operational. There will be increasing amounts of learning and experience to draw on so in some ways this guidance should be viewed as "work in progress". |
At the end of each guide is a series of links to resources on a large number of websites. These are resources that we suggest may be useful in developing and running a centre. This does not mean we endorse or recommend the contents in full. Also in the links section are the titles of a range of good practice guides, tools and templates produced by the myplace support team to be found in this Library.
