Half way there...

It's official! Our first new Youth Zone is well on the way to completion. The steel frames and floors are in place and the individual rooms are starting to take shape. Set to open in February 2011, it will transform the lives of thousands of young people in the city of Carlisle.

Another giant step for OnSide and for Carlisle Youth Zone...this month we have appointed our first Youth Zone Chief Executive. She is Sue Pennycook and she begins work in Carlisle in October. Sue is currently running Dance Action Zone Leeds, a dance project for disadvantaged young people she established in 2000.
