After leaving school at 16, Graham served for five years in the Merchant Navy before spending several years designing mechanical and electrical systems for buildings. This led into a career in Facilities Management and finally on to contract and project management.
Raised in Kent, Graham attended schools in both Orpington and Bromley. After leaving the navy, he undertook a one year HTC design engineering course at Leicester Polytechnic and then followed an ONC course in Building Services. He achieved his first degree at South Bank University and a Masters degree from the University of Westminster.
