Press Release - MYplace Solihull

The Colebridge Trust, with support from other organisations, will pump its £5,040,000 grant into developing MYplace in Solihull, a top class youth hub which will replace a dilapidated boxing centre. The new facilities will include a multi gym, a multi purpose hall with telescopic seating, a climbing wall, a boxing area, a cyber café, a recording studio, a sensory room, a multi media facility and a quiet area. Seven support agencies will also be based at the centre, which will be aimed at 13 to 19 year olds and up to 24 years old for those with learning difficulties.

There will be transport offered to young people with disabilities and those in dispersed communities. Outreach workers will target those approaching 13 years old and the BME community. Activities will be accessible to young people with disabilities and learning difficulties - for example the flooring will be suitable for wheelchair sports.
