New funds to improve Life Choice and Chances for Young Offenders

lloydstsb_foundationApplications are invited to a new £1 million programme to support work to improve the life choices and chances of young offenders in England and Wales. Registered charities with a proven record of working with young offenders can apply for funding from the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales.

 

The types of project that are eligible are:

  • accommodation;
  • skills training;
  • employment and mentoring;
  • drugs and alcohol;
  • restorative justice; and
  • family support and relationships.

 

Grants can support new work or extend a proven model of existing work. The funds can also go towards developing joined up projects. There is a two-stage application process. Details and forms are available from the Foundation's website:

Note that the initial expression of interest forms have to be in by 25 September 2009.
