Pre-Budget Report

The Pre-Budget Report was recently announced - the last one before the forthcoming General Election. What with the current economic situation this was a particularly important report that outlined the Government's spending plan for, arguably, the most significant economic year this country has seen for over half a century.

However, with it being so close to the General Election, there were, predictably, plenty of smoke and mirror tactics used by political parties and the press, and so it might not have been totally clear what the main points were and what ramifications they could possibly have.
