Our very own myplace ambassador, Sir Steve Redgrave, is one of the first people to tole-rant about the bad press young people get as part of the tole-rants campaign, giving myplace as his positive solution.
A tole-rant is a constructive rant and you can see and vote for Sir Steve's clip by clicking the photo. It takes 60 seconds to tole-rant and if you want to get your voice heard, all you have to do is to film yourself ranting constructively and upload your 60 second film on the tole-rants website: http://www.tole-rants.com.
In his tole-rant, Sir Steve talks about how myplace is providing much-needed support and facilities for young people and even highlights Blackpool's Southpoint project as an excellent example of youth participation.
Launched by Global Tolerance on the United Nations International Day of Tolerance, the campaign will run for a year, and the hope is that our positive solutions will result in real change.
Do go to the tole-rants website and have a look at what people are talking about. Better still, film your own tole-rant and upload your 60 second solution.
You can tole-rant about anything you like and if you click on the video cloud on the website, you will see and hear tole-rants about everything from public transport and climate change to role models and trust.
Other tole-ranters who have made a heartfelt video about a social problem include Gandhi's grandson, Rajmohan Gandhi, the sustainable design guru Wayne Hemingway and the slam poet Dizraeli.
